How to care for your skin after summer: a treatment plan for autumn

After the holidays the skin is often dehydrated, dull and covered in new spots. Autumn is a good moment to rebuild it: there is less sun, and many treatments need protection from radiation.

What summer does to the skin

UV radiation stimulates pigment production, so after the season many people notice new spots or darker old ones. Salt water, chlorine and air conditioning dehydrate the skin, while sunscreen and sweat promote blackheads. The result is a dull complexion, uneven skin tone and a feeling of tightness.

Step 1: cleanse and oxygenate

To begin with, it is worth removing what lingers on the surface of the skin. Hydrogen cleansing and oxygen infusion cleanse the pores, hydrate and restore radiance, and there is no recovery period after the treatment. It is also a good way to prepare the skin for the next steps.

Step 2: even out the skin tone

If a spot or redness is left after the summer, autumn is a good time to act. Lumecca (IPL light) helps with pigmentation and vascular changes, but it requires avoiding the sun for 2 weeks before the treatment. Peels, chemical and carbon, also help to lighten and even out the skin tone. For scars and uneven texture, consider Dermapen.

Step 3: hydrate and rebuild

When the skin is cleansed and has an even tone, it is time for regeneration. Mesotherapy and biorevitalisation give the skin hydration and nutrients, and platelet-rich plasma supports its renewal. The effects build up gradually, so it is best to start the series a few weeks before the holidays.

What else is worth starting in autumn

Autumn and winter are also a good time for laser hair removal: the skin is less tanned, and the result is visible until spring. You can start a series of body treatments, for example for cellulite, before the season, instead of waiting until May.

An example plan

This is only a sketch, because we always match the exact plan to the skin and the goal:

  • October: consultation and skin cleansing
  • November: treatments for pigmentation or redness, if indicated
  • December: hydration and regeneration before the holidays
  • January-March: continuing the series and body treatments

What to do at home

Use SPF also in autumn and winter. Choose gentle moisturising cosmetics and do not overdo exfoliation. Check your choice of active ingredients with a cosmetologist.
