After the treatment: what to expect
Right after the treatment the lips look noticeably bigger than they will in the end. This is a normal reaction to the injections and to the product, which binds water. Swelling is greatest on the first day and then gradually goes down, and you will usually see the final shape after 10-14 days.
In the first days the lips may feel tender, tight and uneven to the touch, and small bruises and redness may appear at the injection points. These usually disappear within 3-7 days. You can go back to work and your daily routine straight away, but it is worth planning the treatment so that you have no important event a few days later.
For 24-48 hours avoid sport, saunas, solariums, hot baths and alcohol. Do not touch, massage or squeeze your lips. Do not wear lipstick on the first day. If you can, postpone dental work for two weeks. If there is swelling, it helps to sleep on your back with your head slightly raised. If you are prone to cold sores, let us know, because we may recommend prevention.
Contact us if the swelling gets worse after three days, if you have severe pain, if the skin of the lips turns white or bluish, or if you develop a fever.

One treatment is usually enough, and it takes about an hour. We choose the volume together with you, and if after healing you would like a small adjustment, we top up the result at a follow-up visit.
The change is visible straight after the treatment, but in the first days the lips are swollen. We judge the final shape after 10-14 days. The effect lasts up to a year.
For 1-3 days the lips may be swollen, tender and uneven to the touch, and minor bruises disappear within a few days. For 24-48 hours avoid sport, saunas and alcohol and do not touch your lips. You can go back to work straight away.
